Help keep the promise to restore lobos

In 1998, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service released 11 Mexican gray wolves, or lobos, into the wild for the first time since they had been wiped out in the mid-1970s. March 29th, 2018 marks 20 years since that fateful day – a day filled with so much hope for lobos.

Sadly, lobo recovery has been plagued by mismanagement and political ill-will. Today, just 114 wolves remain in the wild in the Southwest and their future is in jeopardy.

Help us make Mexican gray wolf recovery one of the greatest wildlife success stories of our time. And please enjoy this short video of the day it all began again for lobos.
