Although he may claim otherwise, wildlife doesn’t really seem to matter to Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke.
In a report released just last week, Zinke’s department referred to wildlife and the Endangered Species Act (ESA) as “burdensome” to the development of oil, gas and minerals on our nation’s public lands. He even pledged to “review” ESA protections that stand in the way of industry.
Zinke’s plan – fueled by greed and motivated by special interests – would allow destructive extractive industries to run roughshod over wildlife habitat, threatening countless species that depend on our public lands and waters.
Wildlife should never be sacrificed for the benefit of the oil and gas industry. Donate today to help us put wildlife first.
