Thank Gov. Brown for leadership in saving orcas and salmon

Southern Resident (c) NOAA

Recently, Gov Brown showed tremendous leadership by reaching out to Washington's Governor Jay Inslee to support strong steps toward restoring dwindling chinook salmon on the Columbia and Snake Rivers – including the necessary step of removing outdated dams on those rivers.

That's great news for struggling chinook salmon populations – and it's incredible news for the starving southern resident orcas who need these salmon to survive!

Gov Brown's support for removing these ecologically disastrous dams is a monumental step toward addressing the urgent issue of salmon and orca recovery in the Pacific Northwest.
