Fewer than 80 ocelots remain in the United States, and this fragile population could be doomed by proposed border wall construction along an ecologically critical stretch of the Rio Grande.
President Trump is pushing Congress to allocate billions of dollars for additional barrier construction through the Lower Rio Grande Valley, including areas of the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Hundreds of species, including our only population of ocelots, will be impacted.
Wildlife is counting on us. We must speak out and tell Congress that preserving our ecosystems and vulnerable species is bigger than politics. Please join us in standing up for border wildlife while we still can.
