Protect the Tongass National Forest
America’s largest national forest – and all the life it sustains – is on the chopping block.
In the debate over how to dole out federal funding dollars for fiscal year 2018, pro-industry lawmakers are trying to use the must-pass funding bill to slip through unrelated destructive provisions, or "riders," that would jeopardize the Tongass National Forest.
If passed, these riders would destroy acres of irreplaceable, high-quality wildlife habitat in one of the richest, most biologically diverse forests on Earth and home to the world’s largest breeding concentration of bald eagles, one of the highest densities of brown bears in the world and rare Alexander Archipelago wolves.
Tell your senators to protect the Tongass National Forest from the axe!
