Speak Out Now!
Before the days of the Environmental Protection Agency and the enactment of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the unregulated, widespread use of pesticides killed countless wildlife and endangered human lives. The use of toxic pesticides like DDT sent bald eagles, peregrine falcons, brown pelicans, osprey and orcas hurtling toward extinction.
Eventually these abuses led to the protections we know today for both wildlife and human health. But a recently-leaked bill would dramatically weaken the ESA’s ability to protect wildlife from pesticides, and turn back the clock to the days when toxic chemicals were used with utter disregard for any creature that stood in the way.
Tell your members of Congress to oppose any legislative attempt to weaken ESA protections for species affected by pesticides!
