Take Action to Protect the Arctic
The Coastal Plain is the biological heart of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and drilling for oil would forever destroy this wild habitat, creating in its place a vast industrial complex complete with oil leaks and pollution.
Politicians know that the vast majority of the American public is opposed to oil and gas development in one of the most fragile ecosystems on Earth, but the Trump administration included revenue from oil and gas drilling in its proposed budget, and the U.S. House and Senate both passed budget resolutions with provisions that would pave the way for drilling.
Now these two legislative bodies must agree on the details, and representatives like yours could be the key to keeping Arctic drilling out of the final budget.
Ask your representative to sign a letter to House leadership requesting that the Arctic Refuge be removed from the budget process.
