Help Protect Orcas
Orcas are majestic animals. They’re highly intelligent, social creatures that help define the Northwest experience. But the Southern Resident orca population in the Salish Sea is down to just 76 individuals, and human-caused changes to their environment are threatening their very survival.
Washington state must take immediate action to save our marine neighbors. In September, Governor Inslee recognized the severity of the orcas’ situation and asked the state to increase its efforts – and its funding – for Southern Resident recovery.
Speak out now in support of Governor Inslee’s proposed Orca Recovery Emergency Task Force, which will implement immediate, on-the-ground actions to help orcas.
