Protect Mojave Water
The Mojave Desert is the driest desert in all of North America. But this seemingly desolate landscape supports a breathtaking array of wildlife, all of which are sustained by underground aquifers and springs.
But the Los Angeles-based company Cadiz Inc. wants to pump billions of gallons of groundwater out of the Mojave Desert aquifer each year to sell it to clients in coastal southern California.
