Protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
The push for harmful resource extraction over the preservation of our natural resources is putting our public lands at risk.
Given its history as a target for industrialization and oil development by Big Oil and the state of Alaska, the Coastal Plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is the next likely target.
Colorado’s Senator Michael Bennet and Massachusetts’s Senator Edward Markey have introduced a bill to put an end to threats from Big Oil once and for all. Their bill calls upon Congress to designate the Coastal Plain as federally protected wilderness—the highest level of protection afforded by the government.
We need your help to call upon Senator Bennet’s counterpart, Senator Cory Gardner, to cosponsor the bill to ensure permanent protections for this vital, untouched wilderness and the wildlife it supports.
Please Urge Senator Gardner to support the preservation of the Coastal Plain!
