Thank your Senator for Standing with Wildlife!
Last week, the Senate joined the House in approving H.J. Res. 69, a bill that overturns the Alaska Wildlife Refuges Rule and opens the door for the state’s controversial "predator control" program.
By striking down these important wildlife protections, Congress has facilitated Alaska’s efforts to drive down the number of carnivores through extreme methods.
Amidst this sad news, I am pleased to report that one or both of your senators voted to oppose this harmful legislation and to protect wolves, bears and other predators.
It is encouraging to know we can count on your senator’s commitment to protecting our nation’s wildlife and wild places for the future battles that lie ahead. After a critical vote like this it’s important to let them know that you are paying attention and you appreciate their efforts to stand up for wildlife.
Please take a moment to thank them for their support of wildlife.
