Protect Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge
As a key stop on the Atlantic flyway, Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge in Massachusetts provides essential habitat for the endangered piping plover, the threatened red knot and countless other migratory birds.
But some members of the state’s delegation are considering introducing a bill to give away half of this amazing refuge. If the proposal goes through, nearly 4,000 acres of marine waters and fragile sea beds will be transferred to Commonwealth control, and crucial protections for imperiled wildlife will be lost.
Ask your legislators to oppose efforts to cut the size of the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge in half!
