A Reprieve for Alaska Predators
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) stood strong this week against Alaska’s efforts to allow the excessive and extreme killing of bears, wolves and other iconic predators on national wildlife refuges across the state. FWS finalized a rule to prevent these inhumane killings, but special interests in Congress are already advancing measures to block it.
