Tell NCDOT to find a better alternative for Oregon Inlet

A proposed bridge project over Oregon Inlet is a disaster in the making for Hatteras Island's Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. It's up to us to find a better alternative.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has proposed to replace Bonner Bridge and build a new series of additional short bridges. This "solution" would turn Pea Island NWR into a permanent construction zone, ultimately ruining the beauty of the refuge, destroying crucial wildlife habitat and failing to provide a safe, reliable, long term answer to the project.

Please tell NCDOT that building a short bridge over Oregon Inlet will only speed up the destruction of the already fragile and eroding landscape, will not be reliable for travel during storms and will have a devastating effect on this unique and vital wildlife habitat.
